A WiFi login becomes a marketing channel
  1. 01

A guest connects and consents at the portal

  2. 02

Survey responses and profile data are captured

  3. 03

Real-time analytics per venue and access point

  4. 04

The next campaign is targeted back down to the access point

White-labelled, so each client brand sees only its own venues, its own data and its own campaigns.

Solid outline: built and run by us. Dashed: an external system the flow depends on.

The business

Aiwifi turns guest WiFi into a customer intelligence channel. Its clients are venues that were already giving the bandwidth away; the platform is what they get back for it.

The challenge

Businesses were giving away WiFi and getting nothing back. Aiwifi needed a captive portal platform that turns a login into consented customer data, survey responses and campaign reach — white-labelled across many client brands at once.

  1. 01

Free WiFi was a pure cost line

Venues paid for bandwidth and got nothing measurable back. Turning a login into consented data is the entire business case, and it has to happen inside the few seconds a guest will spend getting online.

  2. 02

    One platform, many brands

Every client wants the portal to look like their own. White-labelling across many brands at once is a data isolation and permissions problem long before it is a theming problem.

  3. 03

Targeting has to reach the access point

A venue chain does not want one campaign across every site. Campaign targeting had to reach individual access points, which means the model has to know the physical estate and not just the account.

  4. 04

The platform outgrew its own foundation

As the estate and the data grew, it had to be carried through a framework migration without interrupting the venues already running on it.

What we did

We built the captive portal and the dashboard behind it: campaign management down to individual access points, a survey builder with NPS, real-time analytics, advertisement delivery, granular permissions, and multi-brand white-labelling. We also carried the platform through a framework migration as it grew.

What we built

The captive portal

The guest-facing login that converts access into consented data.

Campaign management down to the access point

Campaigns targeted at individual access points, not just at an account.

A survey builder with NPS

Venues ask their own questions and track satisfaction over time.

Real-time analytics

What is happening across the estate now, rather than a monthly export.

Advertisement delivery

Campaign inventory served through the portal itself.

Granular permissions

Who may see and change what, across many client brands inside one platform.

Multi-brand white-labelling

Each client brand sees its own portal, its own venues and its own data.

A framework migration in flight

The platform carried onto a newer foundation while it kept serving its venues.
